'Kraziness In The Kennel' Provides Something For Everybody

SPOKANE, Wash. – There’s a little bit of something for everyone at “Kraziness in the Kennel” Saturday, Oct. 12, when Gonzaga University’s men’s basketball team makes its first public appearance of the season.

Doors to the McCarthey Athletic Center will open at 3 p.m. with the festivities scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

But you don’t have to wait until the basketball to get the fun started. Inflatable toys and other children’s games will be available in the south lawn of the McCarthey Athletic Center beginning at 1 p.m. There will also be a prize wheel for a chance to win Gonzaga prizes and giveaways by Papa Murphy’s, Jack in the Box and Numerica Credit Union.

Tom Hudson, the radio voice of Gonzaga men’s basketball, and former Zag and first-year analyst Cory Violette will be on 1510 KGA CBS Sports Radio from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

Fans will also be able to get their 2013-14 men’s basketball posters, magnet schedules and pocket schedules. The Zags will also play a Blue-White scrimmage with performances by the Gonzaga cheerleaders, dance team and bomb squad also featured. There will also be raffle drawings for Gonzaga prizes and one lucky fan will have a chance to win $10,000 in a half-court shot.

Also on display for the first time will be new south concourse graphics featuring the tradition of Gonzaga men’s and women’s basketball.

Following the event Gonzaga players will be available in the east foyer to autograph the schedule posters available at the event.
