Oct. 30, 2009
SPOKANE, Wash. - IMG College, Gonzaga University's multi-media rights holder, has announced an expanded slate of television and radio programming for the upcoming basketball season.
KHQ and FSN will televise the inaugural year of the "Mark Few TV Show" hosted by Greg Heister, the television voice of Bulldog basketball. The 30-minute show will air on KHQ-TV every Sunday following Sunday Night Football. If there is no SNF broadcast the show will air at 6:30 p.m., including this Sunday with the inaugural show.
The "Mark Few TV Show" will be shown on FSN every Tuesday at 7 p.m. beginning Nov. 3, unless pre-empted by a live event. Additional showings will also be on FSN throughout the week as well as on Fox College Sports. Viewers should check their local programming guide for days and times.
On radio, the "Mark Few Radio Show" will air from noon-1p.m. on 1510 KGA Sports Talk every Monday beginning Nov. 9 and will be hosted by the radio voice of the Bulldogs Tom Hudson. The show will include a featured player guest each week.
The "GU Coaches Show" will also air on 1510 KGA every Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. beginning Nov. 10 with the exception of Nov. 17 and Nov. 24 when the Bulldogs will be on the road. The show will originate from Tomato Street Restaurant in Spokane and will feature members of the Bulldog men's and women's basketball coaching staffs as well as other Gonzaga guests. Hudson will also host that show.
Game day programming on 1510 KGA Sports Talk and 101.1 KEYF-FM has also been expanded for this season. Each game will feature a one-hour network pre-game and a 45-minute network post-game show. KGA will also host a local extended pre-game and post-game show beginning two hours prior to tipoff and for one hour following the conclusion of the network post-game show.
The weekly Mark Few Radio Show and the GU Coaches Show will also be streamed live on www.gozags.com as part of the All-Access subscription service and will also be archived for future access.
All Gonzaga basketball games will also be aired on 1510 KGA and KEYF 101.1 FM with Hudson returning for his eighth season behind the microphone. He will be joined again by analyst Richard Fox, a former Bulldog player.
Gonzaga women's basketball also has a new look this season as all games home and away will be broadcast on KEYF 1050 AM. This is the first year that all Gonzaga Women's Basketball regular season road games will be broadcast. Steve Myklebust returns for his sixth season calling the action of Bulldog women's basketball.
"We are excited to continue to offer expanded programming options for Gonzaga fans. This significant programming expansion is a direct response to the appetite of our fans for expanded content and programming options to follow the Zags. We will continue to find ways to improve the programming and availability of programming to our fans," said Kris Kassel, General Manager of IMG at Gonzaga.
