Nov. 15, 2010

McLEAN, Va. - Gonzaga University remained No. 12 in this week's ESPN/USA Today Top 25 as voted by a panel of coaches.

The Bulldogs entered the preseason poll and remained unchanged following a pair of season-opening victories. Gonzaga will host San Diego State University Tuesday at 8 p.m., the Aztecs the first team under the "others receiving votes" category in this week's rankings. The game will be a part of the 24-hour College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon presented by ESPN. Gametime is 8 p.m. PT.

Duke, Michigan State, Kansas State, Pittsburgh and Ohio State, the top five in the ESPN/USA Today preseason men's basketball coaches poll, are the top five in the first regular-season poll.

Four of the five won their season openers handily over the weekend. Pittsburgh is 3-0 after wins over Rhode Island, Illinois-Chicago and North Florida.

Kansas and Villanova flopped the No. 6 and 7 spots despite both winning their openers. The same happened to North Carolina, which vaulted over Purdue to No. 8. The Boilermakers are No. 9. Florida jumped from No. 11 to No. 10, while Kentucky fell from No. 10 to No. 13 despite winning its opener.
