Men's Basketball Opener Sunday To Be Televised
Nov. 19, 1999
SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's men's basketball opener Sunday at the University of Montana will be televised in Spokane through an arrangement between Montana Power/Touch America and AT&T Cable Service of Spokane.
The game will be televised on channel 78 to AT&T Cable subscribers in Spokane. Channel 78 is not normally a part of the AT&T Cable lineup, but is being activated for Sunday's broadcast. Gametime is 2 p.m. PST.
"We're appreciative of AT&T Cable for their efforts in being able to bring the game back to Spokane," Gonzaga athletic director Mike Roth said. "This is a great opportunity with the excitement surrounding men's basketball. I know there are a lot of people going to Missoula for the game, but this gives fans who can't attend a chance to view the regular-season opener."
For fans unable to pick up the television broadcast of the game, the game can be heard on radio in Spokane on KXLI 630 AM. Fans outside the Spokane area can access the radio broadcast off Gonzaga's website at www.gozags.com. Dennis Patchin returns for his third season behind the microphone calling the play-by-play of Bulldogs basketball.
