Gonzaga Hosts Washington State Thursday In Rivalry Game
SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University hosts Washington State University Thursday at 6 p.m. in the McCarthey Athletic Center as the Bulldogs conclude a season-opening 4-game homestand.
Both squads come in undefeated in the early season, the Bulldogs 3-0 while WSU comes in with a 2-0 mark. Gonzaga makes its first trip away from home when the Bulldogs leave Saturday for the 30th annual EA Sports Maui Invitational while the Cougars will entertain TCU Sunday.
WSU leads the series 98-50 but the Bulldogs have won four of the last five since dropping two straight. Kevin Pangos drove the length of the court last year in Pullman for the game-winning lay-in as Gonzaga prevailed 71-69.
Gonzaga is averaging 91.7 ppg and allowing 68.0 ppg for a scoring margin of +23.7.
