Pargo Earns WCC Weekly Honor After Leading Zags To Old Spice Title

San Bruno, Calif. – After leading Gonzaga University to the Old Spice Classic title this past the weekend, senior guard Jeremy Pargo was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week. It is the first weekly honor for the reigning WCC Player of the Year this season.
Pargo was named the MVP of the Old Spice Classic after averaging 12.0 PPG, 5.7 RPG and 1.7 APG in the Zags’ three wins over Oklahoma State University, the University of Maryland and the University of Tennessee this past weekend. The Chicago, Ill. native had 15 points and seven assists in the win over Oklahoma State on Thursday, 11 points and three assists against Maryland on Friday and 10 points and seven assists in the classic-clinching win over Tennessee on Sunday. Pargo is averaging nine PPG and seven APG in Gonzaga’s five games this season.
This week the Bulldogs travel to Indianapolis, Ind. to match up with the University of Indiana as part of the Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge held at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday.
