Bulldogs, Cougars Showdown Sold Out

Dec. 4, 2007

SPOKANE, Wash. - Wednesday's men's basketball game between Gonzaga University and Washington State University is sold out.

The Bulldogs, ranked 17th by Associated Press and 19th in the USA Today/ESPN poll this week, and Cougars, 8th by AP and 6th in the voting of coaches, meet at 8 p.m. at the McCarthey Athletic Center. The game will be televised on ESPNU and can also be heard on 1510 KGA radio in Spokane and via the internet.

"This is the quickest one of our games has ever sold out," Gonzaga athletic director Mike Roth said of the much-anticipated showdown between two of the premier NCAA Division I teams on the West Coast.

WSU defeated Gonzaga 77-67 in Pullman last season to snap the Bulldogs seven-game winning streak in the series.
