Additional Battle In Seattle Tickets Go On Sale Friday Morning

SEATTLE, Wash. - Approximately 200 lower level tickets for the Dec. 20 Battle in Seattle at KeyArena between fifth-ranked Gonzaga University and second-ranked University of Connecticut will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
The CBS national television event held at KeyArena is a near sellout.
Premium single tickets located on the aisles are also available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, over the phone in Spokane at (509) 735-0500, in Seattle at (206) 628-0888 and online at www.ticketmaster.com.
Tickets are also available for the Comcast Battle in Seattle Honoree Reception Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Fairmont Olympic Seattle Hotel. This year's Honoree will be former Zag Frank Burgess. The current district court judge will be the sixth recipient of this award. Past honorees include Marv Harshman, Don Monson, Jud Heathcote, Jerry Krause and George Raveling.
Burgess was a member of the inaugural NCAA Division 1 team at Gonzaga, the 6-1 guard still holding school records that include career scoring leader with 2,196 points, being the only player with seven 40-plus point games, the single game record of 52 points, 1961 NCAA scoring champion with a 32.4 average, and two-time collegiate All-America standout.

The Huskies (7-0) defeated the University of Wisconsin in the championship game of the Paradise Jam tournament and the Bulldogs (5-0) overpowered the University of Tennessee in the finale of the Old Spice Classic.
The Bulldogs and the Huskies last met on Dec. 1, 2007, at the Hartford Hall of Fame Showcase in Boston with the Zags prevailing 85-82.. Connecticut holds a 2-1 all-time series lead over Gonzaga, including a 1999 Elite Eight win that saw the Huskies go on to capture the national title.
