Hot-Shooting Bulldogs Home Saturday To Face NMSU Aggies

            SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University and New Mexico State University will be meeting for the first time Saturday when the two squads tip off at 8 p.m. at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

            Saturday’s contest will be the sixth home game in nine outings for Gonzaga this season. The Bulldogs will play their next three games away from the McCarthey Athletic Center – Tuesday at West Virginia, next Saturday against the University of South Alabama in the Battle in Seattle and Dec. 21 against Kansas State University in Wichita, Kans.

            Gonzaga is shooting 55.8 percent (264-for-473) from the field to lead the NCAA Division I ranks through games of Dec. 1. The Bulldogs are also second in 3-point field goal percentage at 48.1 percent (87-for-181). Colgate is shooting 51.0 percent to head the 3-point list.       Gonzaga is fifth in the latest NCAA statistics in scoring, averaging 91.8 ppg. Boise State, leads at 97.7 ppg.

            Sam Dower is ranked 15th in the NCAA in field goal percentage for Gonzaga at 64.7 percent (44-for-68).
