Bulldogs, Campbell In Inaugural Hardwood Meeting Wednesday
SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University and Campbell University will have their inaugural hardwood meeting Wednesday when the Fighting Camels visit the McCarthey Athletic Center for a 6 p.m. contest.
Campbell is on a two-game Pacific Northwest swing which ends Saturday with a game at Seattle University. The Fighting Camels are in their second season of Big South Conference membership after spending 17 years in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Campbell was a charter member of the Big South from 1983-94.
Gonzaga will get a nine-day Christmas break following Wednesday's game, the Bulldogs idle until Dec. 28 when Baylor University comes to town. Following the Baylor game the Zags face their longest road trip of the year when they go to 24th-ranked Oklahoma State University for a New Year's Eve game, head to Pepperdine University to open West Coast Conference play Jan. 3 and then conclude the trip with a Jan. 5 contest at Santa Clara University.
