Men's Rowers and Coxswains Wanted

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University men's rowing is looking for student-athletes for the upcoming 2008-2009 season. No prior experience is necessary. There will be an informational meeting held on campus the first week of school for all interested students that want to know more about joining the team at Gonzaga. The men's team coaches will be in attendance to give information, conduct a short tour of the rowing facilities, and answer questions. Informational Meeting Details:
Men's rowing at Gonzaga is a Division I varsity sport that competes in the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA), and the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA). The men's team travels and competes nationally from Seattle, Wash. to Washington D.C. and is coming off one of the more successful racing seasons in program history. Men's rowers at Gonzaga also have access to academic support, afternoon practices, and are part of one of the most successful athletic programs at Gonzaga University. Men's oarsmen are typically 6-0 and taller, and coxswains typically weigh less than 125 pounds.
