SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's and women's rowing programs close out their fall seasons at the 27th Head of the Lake Regatta hosted by the University of Washington Sunday, Nov. 9 in Seattle, Wash.

The Head of the Lake will pit the Gonzaga crews against Washington State University, the University of British Columbia, the University of Victoria, Portland State University, University of Puget Sound, Seattle University and host Washington.

"This is a major regatta for us," said men's head coach Dan Gehn. "It allows us to gauge where we are at compared to other schools."

The Gonzaga men are coming off back-to-back victories over Washington State University at both the Head of the Spokane and the Head of the Snake. The Bulldog men will race three varsity eights at the Head of the Lake, including the 3rd Varsity 8+ which is made up of novice rowers.

The Bulldog women have also had a solid fall season, competing against Washington State at the Head of the Spokane and the Head of the Snake. The Novice 8+ claimed victories over the Cougars at both regattas, including a 50 second victory, with a time of 23:22.83, last Friday at the Head of the Snake.
