Men's Golf Eighth After First Day Of Sacramento State Invite

SACARAMENTO, Calif. - Gonzaga University men's golf opened its 2003 Spring Break trip with back-to-back rounds of 331 and 325 to stand in eighth place at the Sacramento State Invitational in Rancho Murieta. The Bulldgos trail Portland for seventh place as they enter the final day of competition. Junior college transfer Souta Nozaka leads the Bulldogs as he stand tied for 12th after rounds of 76 and 78. UC Davis leads the nine team field and Blake Lugar leads the individual competition. Matt Munroe and Adam Syverson tied for the second best rounds by a Gonzaga golfer as each player shot 166 over the first 36 holes.
