LAYTON, Utah - Trevor Loe finished with a final-round 68 Tuesday to tie for fourth and help Gonzaga University's men's golf team finished tied for ninth at the Purple and Red Invitational hosted by Weber State University.

Loe finished at 213 after rounds of 70-75-68 over the par 72, 7,147-yard Valley View Golf Club. Davie Lewinski of Cal Poly was the medalist at 208 after posting back-to-back rounds of 68 to go with an opening-round 72. Dustin Pimm of the University of Utah was one stroke back.

Brandon Crick of the Bulldogs finished tied for 10th with a 54-hole total of 215 coming on rounds of 73-70-72.

The University of Hartford took the team crown with an 863, defeating Utah in a playoff after the two teams finished 54 holes tied. Cal Poly was third one stroke behind. Gonzaga shot a final-round 290 to finish tied with Weber State University's "B" entry at 881, one stroke ahead of Boise State University.

The Bulldogs will be at the Vandal Fall Classic in Moscow, Idaho, Monday and Tuesday.
