SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Gonzaga men's golfer Ben DuBois climbed from 65th to 41st on the leaderboard at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate after finishing one-under par (71) in the second round Saturday.

DuBois made six birdies on Day 2 and now has eight in the three-day event. He is tied for 41st at seven-over (151). The senior was three-over on the front-nine, before going four-under on the back-nine.

David Ganz rose to a tie for 28th at five-over (149). He carded a 74 (+2) in Round 2, after a 75 in the opening round. Ganz had four birdies and nine pars Saturday.

Tyler Munetake and Nick Nolan are both tied for 59th at 12-over (156). Munetake was five-over (77) in the second round, while Nolan was nine-over (81). Chris Mogg finished with a round of 82 (+10) on the second day, and is tied for 64th at 15-over (159).

"Another tough test on the course today," Gonzaga Head Coach Robert Gray said. "Once again, the guys held their composure despite some adversity. Ben rebounded with a great second nine to post a fantastic round of 71 on a very tough course. David was consistent all day and posted another respectable round. The other guys struggled getting the ball in play consistently which led to some bigger numbers or strings of bogeys. The course has been a real test so far with it’s layout, the wind and pin locations. We’ll continue to play hard and get the best we can from each round."

The Zags are in 12th at 33-over (609). Kent State and Georgia Tech are tied for first on the team leaderboard at one-over (577). LSU, Arizona State and Lipscomb are all three strokes back entering the final day.

Lipscomb's Dawson Armstrong went from seventh to first on the individual leaderboard after carding a 67 (-5) in the second round. He is six-under (138) in the tournament and has a one-stroke lead over Kent State's Gisli Sveinbergsson.

Mogg tees off first for GU in the final round Sunday at 8:40 a.m. The Bulldogs will start from the 10th hole. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
