DuBois Cards a 71 in Second Round in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Gonzaga men's golfer Ben DuBois climbed from 65th to 41st on the leaderboard at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate after finishing one-under par (71) in the second round Saturday.
DuBois made six birdies on Day 2 and now has eight in the three-day event. He is tied for 41st at seven-over (151). The senior was three-over on the front-nine, before going four-under on the back-nine.
David Ganz rose to a tie for 28th at five-over (149). He carded a 74 (+2) in Round 2, after a 75 in the opening round. Ganz had four birdies and nine pars Saturday.
Tyler Munetake and Nick Nolan are both tied for 59th at 12-over (156). Munetake was five-over (77) in the second round, while Nolan was nine-over (81). Chris Mogg finished with a round of 82 (+10) on the second day, and is tied for 64th at 15-over (159).
The Zags are in 12th at 33-over (609). Kent State and Georgia Tech are tied for first on the team leaderboard at one-over (577). LSU, Arizona State and Lipscomb are all three strokes back entering the final day.
Lipscomb's Dawson Armstrong went from seventh to first on the individual leaderboard after carding a 67 (-5) in the second round. He is six-under (138) in the tournament and has a one-stroke lead over Kent State's Gisli Sveinbergsson.
Mogg tees off first for GU in the final round Sunday at 8:40 a.m. The Bulldogs will start from the 10th hole. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
