PHOENIX, Ariz. - Gonzaga University freshman Brandon Crick is in an 11-way tie for 20th after Monday's 36 holes of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic men's golf tournament being played at Talking Stick Golf Course.

Crick shot 72-70 for a 36-hole total of 142 over the 7,133-yard, par 70 layout. Trevor Loe was the next closest Bulldog in a five-way tie for 56th at 146.

The Bulldogs had a solid 286 in the first round and nobody shot higher than 73, but Crick's second-round 70 was five strokes better than his next closest teammate as the Bulldogs skied to a 296 for a 36-hole score of 582 that left them in 14th place heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes.

Gonzaga is four strokes behind Kennesaw State University and three shots ahead of Idaho State University. UC Davis is the first-day leader at 554.

Joe Ryon of UC Santa Barbara shot 65-68 for a 133 to lead Nate Pistacchio of UC Davis by two strokes.
