May 22, 2017
SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Gonzaga men's golf team welcomed the signing of Matthew Ruel, Zags' head coach Robert Gray announced Monday.
"We're very excited to have Matthew joining our program," Gray said. "He's a great young man, excellent student and a solid player who will fit in nicely with our current team members. He brings additional depth to our program, which will consist of five underclassmen. Having spent a year at the Division I level, he already understands what is expected of D-1 student-athletes and the commitment it takes to excel at a high level. In addition, he has experience and success in high level competition."
