Men's Golf Named GCAA All-Academic Team

NORMAN, Okla. – The Gonzaga men's golf team was named a Golf Coaches Association of America All-Academic Team Wednesday.
The Bulldogs were among 187 programs across the NCAA Div. I level to receive the honor. GU boasted a team GPA of 3.42 in the spring term.
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year. Programs with 3.5 or better GPA’s received President’s Special Recognition status. Teams with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.5 were named All-Academic.
Georgia State (Division I), St. Edward’s (Division II), Kalamazoo (Division III), Governors State (NAIA), Central Alabama (NJCAA DI) and Mineral Area College (NJCAA DII) have been named Academic National Champions for their respective divisions.
Georgia State posted the highest overall team GPA for all divisions with a 3.85. A total of 187 teams submitted GPAs of 3.00 or higher to earn All-Academic Team recognition.
