Mogg Paces Men's Golf at Washington State Amateur

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Gonzaga men's golfer Chris Mogg tied for 13th at the 91st annual Washington State Men's Amateur Championship recently.
Mogg was one of five Zags that competed in the event, with four making the cut. He finished two-over par (216), after carding a 67 (-5) in the third and final round. His third round featured five birdies and an eagle on the Par-5, 579-yard eighth hole at the Suncadia Resort.
Nick Nolan tied for 30th at seven-over (221) with rounds of 75, 74 and 72. He made 14 pars in the final round. Holden Backes was nine-over (223) in a tie for 41st. He had back-to-back rounds of 74, following a 75 in the first round.
David Ganz tied for 43rd at 10-over (224). The upcoming senior opened the tournament with a 73, then had a 77, before closing with a 74.
Tyler Munetake missed the cut after totaling 156 (+13) through the first two rounds.
