MOSCOW, Idaho - Gonzaga University was in 11th place and Ryan Fritz was tied for 21st after 36 holes of the Vandal Fall Classic men's golf tournament Saturday at the University of Idaho Course.

The Bulldogs were just four strokes out of ninth with a 36-hole total of 599. The host Vandals held a commanding 17-stroke lead over Cal Poly 555-572.

Travis Inlow of the Vandals held a 2-stroke lead for individual honors with a 133.

Fritz fired a 73-73 - 146 over the par 71, 6,663-yard UI layout to pace the Bulldogs.

The final 18 holes will be played Saturday, followed by the women's Vandal Fall Classic on Monday and Tuesday.
