SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University men's golf coach Robert Gray has announced that Souta Nozaka has been accepted at Gonzaga and will play golf for the Bulldogs during the spring semester. Nozaka currently attends the Community of Colleges of Spokane were he has been a member of the CCS golf squads for two seasons.

Nozaka was a three-time Washington State qualifier in 1998, 1999 and 2000 during his high school career at Grandview High. He was first-team All-CWAC South League selection three times. At CCS Nozaka was twice named the team MVP and posted a 75.3 socring average in 2002 with a 24th place finish at the 2002 Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges champioship.

Nozaka also won the 2001 Yakima City Amateur Championships with a 216 score with rounds at Apple Tree Golf Course, Mt. Adams Country Club and Yakima Elks Country Club.
