Houston Baptist Invitational Cancelled Due To Impending Weather
Aug. 25, 2017
HOUSTON – With Hurricane Harvey set to hit the Texas coast this evening, the Houston Baptist Invitational was cancelled by the host school this weekend.
The Zags were set to officially open their 2017 season in Houston, with all four matches involving Gonzaga, HBU, UT Rio Grande Valley, and Bradley scheduled for Friday, Aug. 25, and Sunday, Aug. 27, being cancelled because of impending weather.
The Zags will play Bradley on the road at 11 am PST on Sunday. Bradley was not scheduled to play the Zags this weekend, but was also slated to play in the tournament in Houston. The Bulldogs open their season at home on September 1 against UC Riverside, as part of the four-match tournament they are hosting September 1 and 3 with Oregon State, American, and UCR.
