Zags Ranked No. 22 In Latest United Soccer Coaches Top-25 Poll

SPOKANE, Wash. – After starting the season 3-0, their best start since 2003, the Gonzaga Bulldogs are ranked no. 22 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top-25 Poll, released Tuesday.
The Zags are coming off wins over UC Riverside, 1-0, and American, 4-0, at Luger Field over the weekend. They started the season with a 2-1 double-overtime win at Bradley. The Zags are the top rated team in the West Coast Conference.
The Bulldogs were ranked No. 20 last season on September 13, their first top-25 ranking in the NCAA Poll since 2007. The Bulldogs have never been nationally ranked in back-to-back mid-season polls in program history.
Gonzaga is third in the conference in goals with seven and second with nine assists, good for 36th and 16th in the nation, respectively. The Bulldogs lead the WCC in goals against average at .31, 18th in the nation. Ben White is third in the nation averaging 1.33 assists per game and Ben Willis leads the WCC with a .31 goals against average, 18th in the nation.
