Bulldogs Place 10 On WCC All-Academic Team

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs had 10 people selected as the West Coast Conference Men's Soccer All-Academic Teams were announced today.
Redshirt senior Nick Ulowetz highlighted the field by making the 10-person team. He maintains a 3.73 GPA while earning his master’s in human resources and operations. On the pitch this year, he finished with one goal and four assists for six points. He was second on the team and 10th in the conference in assists, and took 18 shots, nine on goal in 1200 minutes.
The Zags had nine members selected honorable mention this year. Colton Cavey, 3.5 GPA, finance major, Jalen Crisler, 3.69 GPA, finance and marketing major, Austin Giftopoulos, 3.52 GPA, finance major, Octavio Rivas, 3.48 GPA, accounting major, Nathaniel Tolton, 3.47 GPA, human physiology major, Brady Henderson, 3.34 GPA, business major, Sam Olson, 3.3 GPA, mechanical engineering major, Ben Willis, 3.29 GPA, physical education and kinesiology major, and Ben White, 3.27 GPA, entrepreneurial finance major, were all selected.
This season, 22 honorees turned in a GPA of 3.5 or higher and nine posted a 3.75 GPA or better. At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while also being a significant contributor to his team.
The Zags upped their number by one from a year ago, as nine Zags earned the honor last year.
