MTEN Takes Down Seattle, 7-0

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga men’s tennis team rolled to a 7-0 victory over Seattle U on Friday evening inside the Stevens Center.
The win moved Gonzaga to 3-0 on the season, while Seattle U dropped to 0-2 on the year.
GU started the day with a clean sweep in doubles action, dropping just four points total. At No. 2, Kyle Everly and Vincent Rettke finished first with a 6-2 win over their Redhawk counterparts. Nos. 1 and 3 werent far behind as Sam Feit and Ruadhan O’Sullivan won 6-2 on the top court, and Simon Homedes-Dualde and Hunter Egger won 6-1 at No. 3.
The Zags then wasted no time clinching the match with a trio of straight-set victories that earned them the clinching points. At No. 1, Sam Feit dominated with a 6-2, 6-0 win, while Hunter Egger and Kyle Everly did the same at Nos. 4 and 5. Egger won 6-4, 6-4 and finished his match with an ace, followed by a Everly’s 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 5.
Gonzaga also added three more wins on singles courts to complete the with Simon Homedes-Dualde taking a straights win at 6-3, 6-4 on Court 6.
