Bulldogs Fall to UC Riverside

Spokane, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team fell to UC Riverside 4-3 Sunday in Portland, Ore. Roman Docjak, Conor Feeney and Cooper Fratt all earned singles victories for the Bulldogs. Docjcak earned the Zags' (6-12) victory at No. 2 with a straight-set, 6-4, 6-4, win over Gorjan Kovacevic. Feeney posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over Jonathan Park 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4, while Cooper Fratt downed Quoc Doan 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5. Stefan Feddersen dropped a three-set decision at the top spot against Joe Cartledge, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4. At No. 3, Zack Radetzky dropped a 6-4, 7-5 decision to Hakop Tadevosian while Charles Adams fell 6-4, 7-5, to Ahmad Shiraz at No. 6. In doubles play, UC Riverside took the opening two sets. At No. 1, Cartledge and Shiraz downed Dojcak and Feddersen 8-0, while at No. 2, Adams and Logan Napolsky fell 8-4 to Jonathan Park and Doan. Fratt and Feeney earned GU the victory at No. 3, with a 8-4 decision over Tadevosian and Sebastian Ko. The Zags will return to the courts April 9 when they host Eastern Washington University at the Spokane Racquet Club. UC Riverside 4, Gonzaga 3 Singles Cartledge def.
