SPOKANE, Wash. - - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team is looking to extend its five match win streak Tuesday, when the Bulldogs host Eastern Washington University at the Zags' home courts in Spokane. The match is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.

The Zags enter the contest with an 11-12 overall record, while the Eagles are 11-9 for the season.

The Bulldogs and Eastern Washington have met on the courts once this season already. Last Thursday, at Cheney, the Bulldogs defeated EWU 5-1.

Last week, Gonzaga hosted two matches in Spokane before a match Sunday against Lewis-Clark State College was called due to wet conditions. Friday, the Zags defeated the University of Idaho 4-3 as senior Bryce Cooper capture the victory with a three-set victory at No. 1 singles. Saturday evening, the Bulldogs took down Whitworth College, who is ranked No. 15 in Division II, 5-1 to mark their fifth straight victory.

After Tuesday's contest, the Zags will travel to San Diego, Calif. for the West Coast Conference tournament. Pairings and match times for the event will be announced later this week by the conference office.

Tuesday's match will take place at the tennis courts just northwest of the Martin Centre on Gonzaga's campus.
