BERKLEY, Calif. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team had three players advance to the second round of the Wilson/ITA Northern Cal Championships in Berkley, Calif. Friday. Senior Stefan Feddersen, junior Roman Dojcak and freshman Jake Davis all posted victories for the Bulldogs.

Feddersen was one of the highlights on the day, posting two victories in the tournaments first day of action to advance to Saturday's third round. Feddersen rallied from behind to beat the University of San Francisco's Peder Steen 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 in the first round and again came from behind in his second round match against Santa Clara University's Kenzo Hirakawa Wong 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Two other Zags also provided some highlights as Dojcak posted a very impressive 6-1, 6-0 win over Orion Ashmore from the University of Nevada in the first round. Dojcak later dropped his second round match with Sacramento State University's Jason Smith 6-1, 6-1. Davis picked up a very impressive first round win over Alex Hart of Portland State University 7-6(1), 6-2. Hart is one of PSU's top singles players. In his second round match, Davis lost 6-0, 6-2 to USF's Thong Tu.

The Doubles bracket begins play Saturday as well as third and fourth round Singles bracket action.
