SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga University women’s basketball team opens the first half of its 2009-10 West Coast Conference slate with three-straight home games at the McCarthey Athletic Center. After closing out non-conference action by hosting UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara, the Zags will welcome the University of Portland, Saint Mary’s College and the University of San Diego to the McCarthey Athletic Center.

The Bulldogs begin play against the Pilots on Saturday Jan. 9, followed by the Gaels on Thursday, Jan. 14 and then rounds out its home series against the Toreros, in a rematch of the WCC Tournament Championship game, on Saturday, Jan. 16.

The Zags hit the road for the first time in WCC play with a trip to California. Gonzaga plays at Pepperdine University Thursday, Jan. 21 in Malibu and at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Gonzaga closes out the first half of its West Coast Conference slate with home games against Santa Clara University and the University of San Francisco. The Bulldogs host the Broncos on Thursday, Jan. 28 and matches up with the Dons on Saturday, Jan. 30.
