SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University athletic department rolled out its 2008-09 women's basketball season ticket campaign earlier this month. The web-based advertisement, which can be found on GoZags.com or at inspiredseason.com, hopes to increase Bulldog women's basketball season ticket sales for the upcoming season.

Inspiredseason.com was created to utilize the internet as a marketing vehicle. Having the advertisement be web-based allowed Gonzaga to create a video that not only grabs the viewers attention but actually makes them a part of the video. In inspiredseason.com, head coach Kelly Graves personally calls the viewer and invites them to buy season tickets to see the Zag women play live.

"Our goal is to create a very unique video that has a "wow" effect with the consumer," said Matt Beckman, director of marketing. "This campaign effectively allows us to get a message out about our women's basketball squad, who has reigned over the West Coast Conference the past four seasons, in a way that engages the viewer. We hope this campaign will help increase season ticket sales in the McCarthey Athletic Center."

The athletic marketing department worked with Magner Sanborn Advertising Agency in Spokane, Wash., on the production, conception and software creation for inspiredseason.com.
