SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University was one of 16 institutions selected to host the first-and-second-rounds of the 2011 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament as announced by the NCAA Wednesday. The Bulldogs will host First-and-Second Round action at the McCarthey Athletic Center on either Saturday, March 19 and Monday, March 21, 2011 or Sunday, March 20 and Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

"We obviously are very very excited for the opportunity to be hosting," stated Bulldog head coach Kelly Graves. "The opportunity for us, if we are fortunate to make the tournament and play at home is really special. It truly is a great opportunity for Gonzaga to showcase our beautiful arena, our great fans, and our basketball team. Spokane has always been big supporters of girl's and women's basketball and to give them the chance to watch the first-and-second rounds is fantastic."
