UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - Freshman Rachel Sibbitt tied for 11th as the West Coast Conference Women's Golf Championships concluded Tuesday at Chambers Bay Golf Course.

Sibbitt had a final-round 81 to go with Monday's scores of 82-80 for a 54-hole total of 243 to earn WCC honorable mention honors. She missed first-team accolades by two strokes.

Three other Bulldogs also finished in the top 20. Senior Lacey Jo Manwaring finished 18th at 247 with rounds of 85-80-82, freshman Sage Suffecool was 19th at 248 with rounds of 81-87-80 and senior Sarah Sheffield was 20th at 249 with rounds of 82-82-85.

Sibbitt, Manwaring and Suffecool had the best Bulldogs rounds of the tournament with an 80.

Pepperdine captured the team title with a 905 while the Bulldogs had a 987 for last in the five-team field. The Waves also had a pair of golfers tie for medalist honors. Leanne Bowditch had rounds of 73-74-73 and Taylore Karle had rounds of 71-73-76 as the two tied at 220. They decided not to have a playoff.

Tuesday's conditions were not as rainy as Monday's opening rounds as interment showers dampened the course briefly twice on Tuesday, but winds gusting between 10-20 mph made the 6,006, par 72 layout challenging. Chambers Bay will be the site of the 2015 men's U.S. Open and 2010 U.S. Amateur.
