Bulldogs Wrap Up Final Round At CDA Resort Collegiate Invitational

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Gonzaga Bulldogs completed the third round of the Coeur d’Alene Collegiate Invitational on Wednesday morning, in beautiful conditions on the lake. Jessica Mangrobang finished tied for 54th at +11 for the tournament with final round 77. Francesca Santoni finished tied in 68th and was +14 overall after firing a 79 on Wednesday. Jena Gao ended up tied for 74th finishing at +16.

Mangrobang birdied the par-four second and par-four seventh on the front nine on Wednesday. Santoni collected 11 pars in her third round. Diana Araneta posted 10 pars in her final round.

“We believed that we could make this one of the best collegiate golf tournaments in the country,” Gonzaga head coach Brad Rickel said. “It is clear to us now it is, and we look forward to hosting for years to come. It is an amazing course and an awesome venue to host a golf tournament.”

The Zags finished 18th at +63. Colorado won the tournament by seven strokes at -18. The Buffs’ Kirsty Hodgkins was the individual champion at -10, four strokes ahead.

The Bulldogs are back on the course on October 16 at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in Lakewood, Wash. at the Tacoma Club and Golf Club.
