JUNCTION CITY, Ore. - Gonzaga University's women's golf team found the going rough Monday in the opening two rounds of the Duck Invitational at Shadow Hills Country Club.

A cool and breezy day saw the Bulldogs in 11th after 36 holes at 660 after rounds of 332-328. Sarah Sheffield is the top Bulldog heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes, tied for 29th at 162 after an 80-82 over the 6,096-yard, par 72 course. Mary Kate Morgan was tied for 34th at 163 after rounds of 84-79, her 79 the only Gonzaga round under 80.

The University of San Francisco, a West Coast Conference foe of the Bulldogs, holds the team lead after 36 holes at 615 for a 3-stroke lead over Washington State University. The Dons also hold the top two spots in the race for medalist honors, Jessica Potter with a 1-stroke lead over Kristin Nichols at 148. Potter had rounds of 71-77 while Nichols posted rounds of 73-76.
