2017-18 Women's Golf Schedule

. – The Gonzaga women’s golf team has announced their 2017-2018 season schedule. They will play in five tournaments they entered last season and host the first-ever Coeur d’Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, September 26-27, featuring 18 teams.

“We are excited about our schedule,” Gonzaga head coach Brad Rickel said. “It is a good mix of new and old events. We look forward to seeing what our young team will do with zero seniors and only one junior. It will be a fun year of excitement and growth.”

The season opens for the second-straight year at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic hosted by Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo., at the Ptarmigan Country Club, September 17-19, where the Zags finished third last year. The Bulldogs will then welcome a talented 18-team field to the Coeur d’Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, September 26-27. GU returns to the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle U in Lakewood, Wash., at the Tacoma Club and Golf Course, October 16-17, for the third consecutive season, as the Zags finished fifth there last year. The Bulldogs complete the fall state, October 22-24, at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, hosted by UNLV in Las Vegas at Boulder Creek Golf Course. The Zags will be making their fourth-straight trip there, as they finished 11th last year.

The Bulldogs open the spring season for the third-straight year at The Gold Rush at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, Calif., February 12-13. The Zags finished fifth at the event, hosted by Long Beach State, last season. GU will travel to Fairfax, Calif., March 5-6, for the Meadow Club Women’s Collegiate at The Meadow Club, hosted by San Jose State. GU will compete in the Pinehurst Women’s Intercollegiate, March 14-16, at historic Pinehurst in Pinehurst, N.C. The event will be held on the centennial course, Pinehurst No. 8. GU will wrap their regular-season schedule at the Silverado Showdown, always featuring the West’s best teams. The Zags will be making their third-straight trip to Silverado Resort in Napa, Calif., where they finished 18th last year. The event is hosted by Oregon and Colorado and runs April 8-10.

The West Coast Conference Championships are slated for April 16-18 in San Diego.
