KAHUKU, Hawai'i - Jessica Howe and Genna Dodge improved their positions for Gonzaga University in the second round of the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational women's golf tournament in Tuesday which was delayed by overnight torrential rains.

Howe shot a second-round 77 and is at 155 to move from a tie for 62nd into a tie for 57th, while Dodge shot a 77 for a 36-hole score of 156 following her opening-round 79 Monday moved from a tie for 73rd into a tie for 65th.

Rachel Sibbitt shot a 78 and is at 154 to pace the Bulldogs, tied for 52nd in one of the toughest fields the Bulldogs have played. She was tied for 43rd after Monday's opening round.

Victoria Fallgren shot a second-round 79 and is tied with Dodge in 65th at 156.

Sage Suffecool, who had an opening-round 75, shot 82 Tuesday for a 157 and fell from a tie for 35th to a tie for 73rd.

Gonzaga shot a second-round 311 to go with Monday's 306 and dropped two spots to 15th heading into Wednesday final's round to be played at the Arnold Palmer Course.

The first two rounds were played at the 6,261-yard, par 72 George Fazio Course.

UC Davis maintained its lead Tuesday and is at 571 for a 6-stroke edge over 16th-ranked University of California. Sixth ranked University of Southern California and seventh-ranked UCLA are third and fourth, respectively.

Demi Runs of UC Davis is atop the leaderboard at 137 after rounds of 68-69. She holds a 1-shot lead over Stephanie Kono of UCLA and Lizette Salas of USC.
