CHENEY, Wash. - Sisters Annie and Sarah Hawkins scored all three goals for Gonzaga University to lead the Bulldogs in a 3-1 victory over local rival, Eastern Washington University.

Sarah Hawkins put Gonzaga on the scoreboard first as she scored in the 23rd minute with a header off a corner kick by Jessie Torres. This marks Sarah Hawkins' second goal of the season.

In the 30th minute of play, Annie Hawkins put an unassisted goal in the back of the net past the arms of Eagle goalkeeper Tiera Como. This gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

Eastern Washington was able to score a goal in the 65th minute to narrow the margin. Jennie Summers notched the mark for the Eagles, taking a penalty kick pass from Beth Russell to put Eastern Washington on the board.

Annie Hawkins again scored to seal the 3-1 victory with less than five minutes of play off a cross from Rachael Manning, to score her sixth goal in eight games. With the goal, Annie Hawkins notched 12 career goals on her belt.

Sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Haugen tallied five saves on the day, while Como had three. Gonzaga's Megan Trammell was received a yellow card in the 73rd minute of play.

The Bulldogs return to play on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. to host the United States Air Force Academy at Martin Field.
