"We are excited to have Drew join us as a graduate student this fall," Watkins said. "Her athleticism and maturity make our team better."

Williams will join Gonzaga as a redshirt junior next season. She will be immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.
After missing her freshman season with an injury in 2014, and not playing as a redshirt freshman in 2015, Williams was the second goalkeeper last season at East Carolina University. She was poised to be the starter following a strong spring season.
Williams saw playing time during an exhibition against Campbell in 2016, and finished the game versus Memphis during conference play, making one save and not allowing a goal.
Last summer, Williams played eight games with FRAM Ajax in the WPSL. She saved 64 of the 73 shots she faced, a save percentage of .876. At the club level, the Claremont, Calif. native, played under coaches Lalo Alvarado and Mikey Alexander for Eagles SC ECNL. In 2011, she was a So Cal Summer Showcase Champion and was named tournament MVP. Williams was on the SoCal ODP pool selection in 2010.
A three-star prospect by Top Drawer Soccer out of Claremont High School, Williams was a three-year varsity starter. She was a two-time All-Sierra League honorable mention selection. She led the team to the CIF SS quarterfinals as a senior in 2013, the semifinals as a junior, and won CIF SS championship in 2011. Williams also lettered in track and field during her junior and senior years as a thrower, taking first place in both the shot put and discus at the Sierra League finals.
“I'm incredibly excited to start my new chapter as a grad student at Gonzaga University,” Jones said. “I want to come in and make an impact while maximizing my potential in a very strong conference. My confidence in this team and the coaching staff are what made my decision to be a Zag that much easier. I'm ready to win and I can't wait to experience all that Gonzaga has to offer me on the field as well as in the classroom.”
