ABOUT CAL STATE UNIVERSITY BAKERSFIELD: The Cal State University Bakersfield Roadrunners enter the week with a 2-2-0 overall record. CSUB will play at Eastern Washington University on Friday before meeting with Gonzaga University on Sunday. The Zags won the only meeting with the Roadrunners, winning 4-0 in Bakersfield, Calif., last season. Third-year head coach Nicole Van Dyke enters this week with a 14-24-5 career record at CSUB.

LAST WEEK: Gonzaga University went 1-1 last week, posting a 3-1 win at the University of Idaho last Friday before dropping a 2-1 decision to the University of Washington last Sunday. UW scored the match-winner in the 80th minute to hand the Bulldogs their first home loss at the new Gonzaga Soccer Field.

A PAIR OF FIRSTS FOR THE ZAGS: Junior Christi D'Agostino and redshirt freshman Katie Spangenberg each recorded their first career goals for Gonzaga University this season. D'Agostino's goal proved to be match-winner in GU's 1-0 win over Portland State University on Aug. 24 and Spangenberg's netter gave the Bulldogs an early 1-0 lead in a match GU wound up losing 2-1 to the University of Washington this past Sunday.

RETURNEES LEADING THE WAY: Sophomores Sheridan Jones and Ashley Riley each recorded a goal and an assist in Gonzaga University's two matches last week. Jones, who produced two goals and finished second on the team in shots in 2007, recorded her first goal of the 2008 season in the 3-1 win over the University of Idaho and picked up her first assist in last Sunday's 2-1 loss to the University of Washington. Riley, who finished second on the team in goals and tied for the team lead in assists in 2007, scored her first goal and handed out her first assist of the 2008 campaign in the 3-1 win at Idaho last Friday. Both players share the team lead in points with three.

2008 SCHEDULE: Gonzaga University's schedule features five matches against teams that made a 2007 NCAA Tournament appearance and a total of 10 home matches that will be played at the new Gonzaga Soccer Field. The Zags will face the University of Denver, University of Colorado, Santa Clara University, University of San Diego and the University of Portland who all participated in last season's NCAA Tournament. Colorado advanced to the second round and Portland played into the elite eight.
