Junior Christi D'Agostino ended the Bulldogs' four-game 416 minute scoreless streak on Sunday with her second goal of the season.

SCHEDULE TURNING OUT TO BE QUITE TOUGH: Gonzaga University has played seven teams that appear in the top 50 of the NCAA RPI rankings. In this week's RPI rankings, the University of Portland was ranked 3rd, the University of Colorado was 15th, the University of Washington 18th, Long Beach State University 27th, the University of San Diego 29th, Washington State University 39th and Loyola Marymount University 47th. Seven Bulldog opponents have appeared in at least one top 25 national poll this season. The young Zag squad that starts six freshmen and sophomores has posted an 0-2-0 record against ranked opponents this season, dropping a 1-0 decision at #21 Colorado Sept. 19 and 4-0 decision to #3 Portland Oct. 17 in Spokane.

ABOUT THE SAINT MARY'S GAELS: Saint Mary's College enters the week with a 8-5-2 overall mark and 1-1-1 record in West Coast Conference play. Gonzaga University is on a four-game unbeaten streak against SMC, winning three of the last four matches including a 2-0 decision in Moraga last season. Ashley Nied leads the Gaels with six goals scored and 12 total points and keeper Tara Larson is third in the WCC with a 1.07 GAA. Kelly Lindsey is in her third season as head coach and owns a 17-29-8 record at the school.

ABOUT THE SAN FRANCISCO DONS: The University of San Francisco enters the week with a 5-9-2 overall record and 0-3-0 in West Coast Conference play. USF will host the University of Portland Friday prior to matching up with Gonzaga University Sunday. USF leads the all-time series 12-3 with GU but the Zags have won two of the last three meetings. USF won 3-0 in San Francisco last season. Nicole Moore enters the week leading the team in goals (4) and points (8). Head coach Mark Carr is in his second season at USF and owns a 7-22-5 record at the school.

MAKING THEM COUNT: All three goals scored by Gonzaga University sophomore Sheridan Jones this season have been match-winners. The three goals also set a new career high, surpassing her two scores of last season. Her first goal of the season came in the Zags 3-1 win at the University of Idaho Aug. 29, her second was the lone score of the match in GU's 1-0 win over California State Bakersfield Sept. 7, and her third netter gave the Bulldogs a 2-1 double overtime win over Eastern Washington University Sept. 28th. The Hillsboro, Ore. native enters the week fourth in the West Coast Conference in shots (43) and match-winners. She also leads the team in goals, points (7) and shots-on-goal (16).

AIMING HER WAY UP THE CHARTS: Gonzaga University women's soccer sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Ames has posted five shutouts this season and seven in her career. The Albuquerque, N.M. native earned her first career West Coast Conference Player of the Week honor Oct. 6 after she turned away seven shots in the 0-0 tie at Idaho State University Oct. 3 and made a career-high 12 saves in the Zags' scoreless draw at Weber State University Oct. 5. Ames now ranks third on Gonzaga's all-time shutout list with seven. She enters the week fourth in the WCC in shutouts (5) and saves (64).

THREE FIRSTS FOR THE ZAGS: Three players have recorded their first career goals for Gonzaga University this season. Freshman Sarah Rhodes recorded her first career netter in the 1-0 win over the University of Montana Sept. 12. Junior Christi D'Agostino and redshirt freshman Katie Spangenberg also have recorded their first career goals for the Zags this season. D'Agostino's goal proved to be match-winner in the Zags' 1-0 win over Portland State University on Aug. 24 and Spangenberg picked up her first career netter against the University of Washington Aug. 31.
