Seattle, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team posted a 7-0 victory over Linfield College Saturday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center in Seattle, Wash. The victory improves the Bulldogs to 1-1 on the season, while the Wildcats fell to 0-2. Gonzaga jumped out to an early advantage after earning the doubles point thanks to a Bulldog sweep. At No. 1, Emily Anderson and Aglaya Kokurina posted a 8-0 victory over Kelli Sides and Molly Nelson. Sydney Lederhouse and Kristen MacWilliam continued the Zags' winning ways with an 8-4 victory over Sophie Larsen and Sally Katter at No. 2. Clare Dodge and Danielle Farmer rounded out doubles play with a 8-6 victory at No. 3 over Sarah Watanbe and Sarah Click. The Bulldogs continued their winning ways in singles play by not dropping a set. Playing at the top position, Anderson downed Sides 6-0, 6-2, while Kokurina posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2 over Katter. Lederhouse earned a 6-0, 6-2 win over Nelson at No. 4 and MacWilliam defeated Watanabe 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5. Rounding out singles play, Erin Humphrey posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6. Gonzaga will wrap up the weekend Sunday when it faces No. 37 University of Washington at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. Gonzaga 7, Linfield 0 Doubles:
