SPOKANE, Wash. (Feb. 21, 2009 - www.GoZags.com) - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team swept all nine matches in a 7-0 win over Portland State University at the Spokane Racquet Club Saturday afternoon.

After taking all three doubles matches, the Bulldogs (3-2) continued their impressive play in all six of the singles matches. Senior Aglaya Kokurina came from behind to post a three-set 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 win in her number one singles match and sophomore Danielle Farmer held on to win a well played number five singles match 6-4, 7-6 for the Zags.

"We started the day out playing strong in doubles and took that momentum into the singles matches," said head coach D.J. Gurule. "Everyone played great today. They were focused, determined and made very few mental mistakes throughout the day. I am very proud of our team's performance today."

Sophomore Clare Dodge and freshman Kristina Zauere each posted wins in their respective single matches to continue to pace the Bulldogs with team-best singles records of 4-1 on the season.
