Honolulu, Hawaii - Courtney Lau earned in second singles victory in as many matches Wednesday night as the Gonzaga University women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii. Hawaii Pacific is currently ranked 18th in the Division II polls.

With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 3-9 overall with the Sea Warriors improve to 8-2.

Lau earned the long Gonzaga point of the afternoon with a three set victory over Lauren Shin at the No. 6 position (6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (5)). At the top position, Emily Anderson fell to Anatasia Ageychik (6-4, 6-3). Agalya Kokurina fell to Ingrid Cseh at the No. 2 position (6-2, 7-5), while at the no. 3 spot, Sydney Lederhouse was defeated by Elena Hudzikova (6-2, 7-6 (5)). Rounding out play Kendall Bates fell at the No. 4 spot to Stephanie Bigom (6-2, 6-1) and Carrie Schofield fell at the No. 5 position to Tinka Mihvoa (6-2, 6-1).

In doubles play, Hawaii Pacific swept the three games. At the No. 1 position, Anderson and Bates fell to Cseh and Hudzkikova (8-4). Lederhouse and Humphrey fell at the No. 2 spot to HPU's Ageychik and Bigom (8-3). Schofield and Kokurina rounded out doubles play, falling to Tinka and Shin (8-6) at the No. 3 spot.

The Zags will hit the courts again Thursday when they face No. 10 University of North Carolina in Honolulu. Match time is set for 5 p.m., PT
