Women's Tennis Returns Home

Spokane, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team returns home this weekend to host a pair of matches at the Spokane Racquet Club. Friday, the Bulldogs will host Weber State University at 5 p.m. before hosting UC Santa Cruz Monday at 9 a.m. The Zags (4-11) will be looking to break a three-match losing streak Friday, while the Wildcats will be in search of improving their 3-9 overall record and the Banana Slugs will be looking to better their 4-5 record. Gonzaga is led by Aglaya Kokurina, who boasts a 9-6 record in singles play. The junior has gone 7-4 when playing at the No. 2 spot and an even 2-2 at No. 1. Earlier this season, Kokurina pieced together a four-match win streak In doubles play, newcomers Clare Dodge and Danielle Farmer have combined to post a 4-4 record, including a winning 3-1 record when play No. 3. The Spokane Racquet Club (SRC) is located at 1903 South Dearborn Road on the South Hill.
